Codex-Powered SEO Content Calendar Automation
Built a human-in-the-loop AI content workflow using Codex to support weekly article planning, SEO content ideation and first-draft article production for a PropTech marketing team.
The article pipeline depended on too much manual context-switching before a marketer could even start writing.
Four moves, sequenced
01 — Train Codex with Brand and Marketing Context
Created structured Codex instructions using company-specific files such as agents.md and brand-voice.md, supported by marketing skills for SEO content, article ideation and brand-aligned copy generation. This helped Codex generate outputs that were less generic and more aligned with the company’s voice, product messaging and audience.
02 — Generate Weekly Article Ideas for Review
Codex generates weekly article opportunities, including suggested keywords, article topics, main angles, search intent and content direction. These ideas are prepared for marketing review before any full article is written.
03 — Marketing Review and Approval
The marketing team reviews the proposed content ideas and decides which topics are suitable. If the angle, keyword or topic is not strong enough, Codex can regenerate alternatives based on feedback. This keeps the process human-led while reducing the time spent coming up with ideas from scratch.
04 — Generate Full Article Assets
Once an article idea is approved, Codex generates the full article draft, meta description, suggested image direction or image asset, and a recommended publishing date. This gives the marketing team a complete first draft package instead of only a topic suggestion.
05 — Final Review, Edit and Publish
The marketer completes the final review, edits the article where needed, checks accuracy and brand fit, then publishes only when the content is approved.
